Zone Conference and Exchanges
This week was full of so many last times and goodbyes! Man it is getting weirder and weirder as time goes on. I cannot believe I am going into my second to last full week as a missionary!! Makes me sad!
We had Zone Conference this week and it was soooo good! It started off with us all doing a group sport together, one of the senior couples here taught us some really good stretches and home exercises! Then we had our trainings by President and the AP's and SML's which was also sooo good! Three of my main take aways from what they shared was: There is real value in understanding who God wants you to be! (I want to make it a goal to strive to learn a little more each day about God's plan for me individually and who He wants me to become), instead of focusing on "exact obedience" think of it more like Covenanted Obedience! Just like we renew our covenants every Sunday by partaking of the sacrament, we can recommit to being more obedient each day. We do not need to get upset at ourselves for messing up, instead we should be humble, acknowledge what we did was wrong and what we can do to change and then move forward, striving to be a better version of ourselves today than we were yesterday. And the third thing that really stood out to me was, "All other fears fade away when our only fear is God!" I love this and this is another thing I want to strive to do more moving forward! Fear God! Put my trust in Him, that He knows best, and do all I can to deserve and earn that 'best' He has in store for me!
We also gave a training as ZL's and SML's and had a council with our Zone about how we can better Christlike correct, what is hard about Christlike correcting and how we can become more Christlike ourselves! It was so amazing to hear from everyone! We had really good participation and I feel like we were truly able to learn a lot from each other!
Later we went to the Romexpo and did some service there! I was able to see Ioana one more time before I leave and it was so sweet to be able to talk with her and spend time with her again! She has such a sweet spirit and I am very grateful for her and the impact she has had on my life!
Friday we had an exchange with the sisters in Brasov and that was also so much fun! Friday and Saturday morning I got to go running a long the base of the mountain and it was so peaceful! Saturday morning it was so quiet that I ended up just taking my earphones out and just ran to the sound of wind and birds chirping! It was so refreshing! This was also my last exchange of my mission! It was really sad to see it come to an end but we filled our day with lessons, member visits, and finding! It was a very productive day!
I really am so grateful for all the many blessings I have in life! Thank you for your prayers and support! Have a great week!
