I Love Romania!!
I love Romania sooooo much! WOW! I can not even accurately describe in words how much love I have for the people here!
A few things that I just absolutely love:
-every morning Sora Robinson and I go to a little park outside our apartment to do sport (sport is how you say exercise here, haha it is just sport with an accent.) I usually run along the outskirts of the park and there is a playground in the middle so we don't always have to be right next to each other while doing sport, we can do our own thing while still seeing each other. I love being able to run every morning and what makes it even better is there are regular people that come to the part to workout/run in the mornings! As I run around the park there are so many people I see every day that have become my friends! It makes me so happy as we say Buna, smile to each other, and wave each morning as we pass each other on our runs! I love all my workout running park buddies!
-I love the youth that I get the opportunity to work with here as well as the many individuals with special needs we get to interact with! Our friend Alexandru, that I have talked about before, comes to our English class every Tuesday night and after class we walk him back to the bus station. As we walk to the bus station, Alexandru always comes and interlocks arms with me and often times wants to run and laugh the whole time running! Haha he is so cute and he makes my week every Tuesday! We also got to help more youth in our branch this week with their English and that was lots of fun just talking about life with them!
-I also love all the members! Their sweet spirits and strong faith is so inspiring! This Sunday the first native Romanian missionary came back to visit our branch! He served here in 1993 for a year and 7 months because there were only two areas open at that time and he was from Bucharest! The two members that gave talks this day just happened to be ones that he had baptized!! It was such a special and spirit filled sacrament meeting! Afterwards, we were able to help a member get the sacrament that has not been able to take it for almost 10 months! She was so happy to be able to receive the sacrament and again, I was able to feel of the Spirit so strongly!! It was a special experience! 💗
Today we went on a really big hike and it made my day!!! But because of that I don't have a lot time to email today!
I hope you all have a great week! Love you all!!
