Finding Joy in the Little Things
First full week of the transfer and we hit the ground running! It has been great serving with Sora Keller! She is a go getter who loves to cook food and play card games just like me! During the day we grind and have been getting a lot of work done, people contacted and lessons taught, and at night we have been eating so well. One night we made pork chops, mashed potatoes and asparagus, put a mattress out on the balcony, and played card games while eating our yummy food and enjoying the nice cool summer night weather! It was a perfect way to wind down after a long day!
For p-day we went to lunch and then went to the church to play games, like we have done in the past, but today a big rain storm came through again!! We brought all our stuff inside so it wouldn't get wet and then we went and played American football in the rain. It was so much fun! It was also a cool rain so it helped cool us down after playing volleyball in the sun for a while!
I am so grateful for the little things, like playing football in the rain, that help give me a little more happiness in my life!
This week as we have taught lessons and met new people, my eyes have been opened even more to the many struggles every single person goes through. It is amazing how knowledge about Jesus Christ and His Atonement can help bring meaning and light to so many lives! I am honestly so grateful for all the members here in Romania, all the missionaries I have the opportunity to serve with, and all of the friends we have that we get to teach more about the gospel of Jesus Christ! I love each and everyone of them so much and wish that I could help more than I am able to. I know that I may not be able to be there for every single person all the time but I know through prayer they can be strengthened! Thank you all who pray for me, for the missionaries, and for our friends both in and outside of the church! I can feel the strengthening power of prayer in my life ever single day! So thank you again for your prayers!
I love you all so much! Hope that you are all doing well and that you are able to feel of Christ's love for you individually a little extra this week! Take care, be safe and laugh lots :)
Love,
Sora Acton
