Leaving Cluj

Welp, right when I think my weeks can't get any crazier, they do!

To start off I just want to say that being a missionary is the best! I love it so much and hope that everyone that has the chance to go on a mission goes, because I have just learned and grown so much in the past 6.5 months! I love the person that I am becoming and the continuous knowledge I am receiving through my studies and through the people that we teach!

On Tuesday this week we were able to go visit Sora Lușan at her home! We were there for almost 2 hours and even though I still couldn't understand everything that she was talking about it was still so fun to be able to talk a little bit and interact with her and her grandchildren. I was also not feeling the best, had a little cold, but she fed us soup and that made my whole day! I love soup but I don't get it often because I usually don't have time to make it myself and they don't really have canned soup in Romania (or at least from what I have seen) so that was a little blessing to my day!

Wednesday we had an exchange with our STL's in Oradea so we had to wake up at 5 to catch our train at 5:50. Since it was so early in the morning there were not Taxi's lined up on the street outside our apartment like there usually are so I tried to order an Uber but it was not connecting me to a driver. At 5:35 we decided to walk to the part of the street where Taxi's usually line up and hope that one would come because we really had no other choice. The train station is about 10 minutes away and our train would be leaving in 15 minutes. We crossed the street to where the Taxi's line up and there weren't any so I was starting to think we were going to miss our train but literally as we walked to the sidewalk a Taxi pulled up! Two things went through my mind 1. Tender Mercy/Major Blessing and 2. GOOD LUCK!!!! Honestly (knock on wood) I have had such good luck on my mission!! Makes me want to never leave the mission, I really think I am just having good luck because I am being blessed as a missionary right now!!

The rest of the exchange was so much fun!! We were able to do some service for the Ukrainians by sorting a bunch of donations and the we got yummy food and it was also a really sunny day so that also made me so happy!

Thursday was a lot of fun cause Sora Saunders (my trainer) came and visited with her whole family! It was nice to socialize and visit with everyone! Also nice because I ended up being pretty sick Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday so that was a happy note after feeling pretty poopy.

Frida and Saturday there was a country wide YSA activity in Cluj so we helped a little with that and were able to have dinner with all of them.

I am running out of time to write all this so I am sorry if the end of this seems a little scatterbrained. haha

Sunday was our District Conference (kind of like Stake Conference) and so many people came to Cluj for it! It was so cool to see so many people all together! And all the missionaries were able to come too so it was a party! There were so many amazing talks and the spirit was so strong!

I also got Transfer calls and I am leaving Cluj and going to Bucharest and so I had to tell everyone that I was leaving Cluj. I am really sad about it! I have been in Cluj for 5 months and it has been such an amazing time for me!! I have learned so much and grown and have made so many amazing relationships here!! I definitely shed some tears on Sunday! Cluj will always hold such a big part of my heart! And I will love the people here for all time and eternity! So grateful I was blessed to have them in my life for the first part of my mission here in Romania!
