Grateful For Prayers!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good week! I love you all and am so grateful for all those who keep me and all missionaries in your prayers! I can feel the effect and strength that comes from all of your prayers and I am very, very, thankful!

This week has been a roller coaster of a week for me!! It started off so well with our mega p-day to Sibiu! What a fun trip! I got to see Sora Robinsons and that was probably the highlight of the whole trip for me! I LOVE HER SO MUCH!! When we got to Sibiu we had a fun and chill day, we got lunch together as a group and then went to the church and just played games with each other! It was just what I needed to start off my crazy week!!

On Wednesday I got the news that my great Grandma Gerrie had an accident and was in the hospital. When I got this news I got the feeling that she did not have that much time left here so it made me a little sad because I didn't think I would get the chance to say my goodbyes to her.  The nice thing about Wednesday is that we had planned to make some cinnamon rolls for members in our branch with Sora Downs and so that was a nice de-stresser for the day!

Thursday morning I got a call from Mom and Dad that Grandma Gerrie had passed. This made me sad and a little homesick because I really just wanted to be with family! We had a pretty full day planned Thursday so I stayed pretty busy which was really nice! We went to visit an inactive family in our ward and it turned out to be their son's birthday and he was really excited that we came to visit and that we brought cinnamon rolls so that made me really happy too!

Friday we had games night planned at the end of the day and it turned out to be another answer to my prayers! I have seen Heavenly Father's hand in my life so much this week and I am just grateful for how aware He is of me individually! Having a lot of people at games night; members, a returning Elder and his family, and non-members just made it feel so much like family and I had such a fun time interacting with everyone, playing games and just talking!

Since Wednesday, most of the time during the day I would feel fine as we were staying busy but when night time came around and things slowed down I would get pretty sad again. Saturday morning I did a lot of cleaning at our apartment and at the church which ended up being pretty therapeutic. We went and played soccer with one of the youth in our ward, and we went to visit a lady that we are teaching right now!! All of these activities I really enjoyed but I was still feeling a little sad so I asked Elder Downs to give me a blessing and that helped so much!! I love how immediate blessings can be sometimes! I immediately felt peace and comfort as he gave me the blessing! I love the priesthood!!

Sunday was branch conference and Maria came again and was as happy as ever! We had a large turnout and the talks that were given, even though I still don't understand all of them, brought me so much peace and joy!

Despite the hard times throughout this week, it was one of my favorite weeks! I learned and grew a lot and am so grateful for all the amazing people in my life, on both sides of the veil! Thank you again for all those who have reached out to me and who have prayed for me and my family! Love you all tons!
