First Full Week in Romania!!

 Buna Ziua!!!

How has it only been one week! Haha we have packed so much into this last week and I have loved every second of it!

I am honestly so lucky to be in Cluj! I have an amazing companion I get along with so well, I have a great ward and we have about 8 people we are teaching right now who I learn from every lesson!

I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true!! It is so crazy how I do not understand 70% of what is said but I can still feel the spirit so strongly in certain parts of the lessons!

One of our friends we are teaching told us he wants to be baptized! I am so happy for him and the lessons we have with him are very insightful, he is very smart and he always asks great question so our discussion are bomb!!

We are also teaching these two little girls who are the biggest inspiration to me! Their fearlessness and love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is beautiful! Our lessons are also so fun because we do a lot of drawing and coloring to explain stories and commandments :) Also, the last lesson we had with them they were at their friends house and invited the whole family to join! Their friend has since let us know that she wants a Book of Mormon as well, to read in her Romanian class at school! So Sweet! I love the love these young girls have to learn and read! I can not see myself doing that at age 9 and 11! They also talk about the Book of Mormon with their friends and teachers too!

On Wednesday we were talking to one of the members of our branch and she shared with us that when she got baptized 25 years a go it wasn't just to "join the church" but it meant more than that to her, it meant coming closer to her Heavenly Father and her Savior and gaining the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. I loved that!

On Saturday of this week we went to do service at this soup kitchen and it was so much fun! The old men that worked there were hilarious and even thought they fed us some interesting food we had a great time. After service we went to lunch with one of the member of our ward and the restaurant we went to was so cool!! It was on the 4th floor and had such a beautiful view of the city!

Today we went out of the city about 45 minutes to go on a hike! It was so much fun! It was so nice to get some fresh clean air and just be in the mountains! It was so pretty, I am loving the pre winter weather lately! On our hike we ran in to a herd of sheep which was super cool because I don't really see those back home! Also, as we were hiking we found a cave and it was super fun to explore around that a little bit! I am so glad that my comp and the other set of Elders in our city were down to go explore! It was such a beautiful day and made me so happy!

I love you all so much and am so grateful for you! Thank you for all the comments, love, and support! I am so grateful for you all!

  1. Sora Acton, I loved reading about your week. The pictures you took of your hike were beautiful. It is always so much fun to see pictures of where you live and of the things you are doing. Those are some seriously huge pots at the soup kitchen.

What a special experience, working with such faithful young girls. I am sure that the spirit is always strong when you are able to share the missionary lessons with all of your investigators. It sounds like you are keeping busy. You and your companions are always in our prayers. We pray for your safety, and that you will be able to find those who are ready to receive your message of Jesus Christ and his restored gospel. Keep up the good work. So happy to read about your experiences. Love you
