Last Week of Home MTC

 WEEK TWO!

How am already two weeks into the mission!? I have learned so much in the past two weeks! And my companion and I have already taught 4 lessons together over zoom. This week was the last week of all my classes being in English, starting on Thursday of next week, all of our classes will be in Romanian.  I definitely do not feel like I know enough Romanian yet to be able to understand a whole class but I have heard the teachers are very kind and patient when you first get started in the classes.  They know that you will probably not understand the majority of the class and they know that they will have to speak super slow and repeat themselves a lot.  You will have to wait till next week to hear how it actually is once I start the classes.

This coming week, I only have classes for half of Monday and then I have the rest of Monday and all Tuesday to pack my last few things and say my goodbyes.  It really is bitter sweet! I am so excited to the journey ahead but it’s hard to say goodbye to the people I love so much!

Two people it will be super hard to say goodbye to are my two younger brothers!  They are both going to grow and change so much while I am gone! Again, I am so excited to be able to fully devote all my time and effort to serving the Lord but it is always hard being away from family! It has been super fun this last week to be able to attend Michael and Joseph's football games. They have been doing great on their teams and i have already informed my dad that he must send me at least one video of them playing per game from here on out! haha

To all my Arizona Friends and Family! Super exciting news, while Faith (Sister Acton) is waiting for her Visa to come in, she has been temporarily reassigned to Tempe, Arizona! Keep an eye out for an extremely adorable sister missionary with a big smile on her face and an even bigger heart! I am so glad that she gets a chance to be down in Arizona where some of my favorite people of all time are! I feel a little closer to her knowing I was just down there a few short months ago!

My highlight of this last week was definitely General Conference!  I know that my Heavenly Father is aware of me individually and knows what I need to hear!  I gained so much peace and guidance from the words that were spoken and hope that everyone has a chance to listen to or re-read the talks that were given!  The insight and direction the talks brought to my life this weekend cannot be beat! Some of the best advice I have ever heard!

I love you all so much! Take care and I’ll update you on my next week hear soon!

I am really going to miss all the fresh veggies from our Garden! I have had a tomato or cucumber from our garden almost every day for the past two week!

On Saturday we were able to have a group Facebook video chat with the whole fam!
I sure love my Family!

  1. You always manage to put a smile on my face! I’ll look for the cutest sister missionary in Arizona, and in the meantime, carry-on the good work and good attitude Sora Acton. You’re going to love the Provo MTC and they all are going to love you! We all just can’t help ourselves! 😘
