Tender Mercies

Another week full of little tender mercies and countless things to be grateful for!

Tuesday was a harder day for me, one of the many things that added to my day was we found out that Sora Gorzo, the member that would have us over for dinner almost every Sunday, passed away Tuesday night. I felt very blessed that Wednesday, the first thing that we had planned to do was service. Whenever I occupy my mind with something else, to stay busy and what better way to do that than to help others! We went back to the housing that is being renovated for the Ukrainian Refugees and carried 200+ boxes of vinyl flooring up three flights of stairs. After a while of bringing them all the way up the three flights, we decided to do an assembly line to make it a little easier. We carried boxes up those stairs for 2 hours! Honestly, it was so much fun! We got a great workout and sweat in, the next two days my right calf and both arms were pretty sore! haha Each box was about 32 pounds and sometimes we would take two at a time just to catch up or get ahead of the person ahead of us in the assembly line.

Friday morning was Sora Gorzo's funeral and it was so special! Her siblings and other family from all over Romania came. We had the service at the gravesite, and then afterwards we went to an authentic Romanian restaurant all together for lunch! It was so special to be able to interact with her family more (all non-members), to share stories, and talk about life! As we got ready to leave, they also covered our check so we didn't even have to pay for any of the food that we got! It was so nice :)

Saturday at games night, I got talking to two teenagers who were at the church for the first time. We ended up talking together and I was able to share the whole first lesson with them in such a simple, fun, but special way! This was definitely another little blessing in my week!

I always love Sundays and the special spirit they have!! I love our branch and the little conversations I get to have with so many different members each week! For dinner, we went to our branch president's apartment and when we first got there, they opened the door, it was dark inside and they were wearing masks for Halloween! It was so much fun talking with them all night, laughing and sharing stories! That is one of my favorite things to do! Dinner all together, spending quality time!

Thank you for all your prayers and support! I love you! Have a great week!
