Showered with Blessings
Hi!!! Hope you are all doing well this week!
A highlight of my week was on Friday. We went to a little public speaking event with our friend, Sara, and met so many new people! At this event we divided into small groups and talked about a specific topic and then after talking we came back together as a large group and one representative from each group shared what their group discussed. It was really cool cause at this event there were volunteers from America and also from Korea that come through school to learn more about culture and public speaking!
I loved interacting with all the Koreans that were there because it made me think of my daddio :) I was just imagining him on his mission and all the people and lives he was able to touch so many years ago in South Korea! It was also so much fun to spend more time with Sara! She really is family to me, on our way to the metro station after the event, she wanted to stop by the little Asian market and get the grape juice drinks my dad told me to get and that we had had with Sara a couple of weeks ago when we went to lunch with her. It was a really fun night and I am so grateful for all the time that we were able to spend together!
Another highlight was that we got to teach the Young Women's class on Sunday! I love those girls so much! Their faith is so strong and I honestly learn so much from them! Their sweet spirits bring so much peace to our lessons and it is just so cool to see the light of Christ in their eyes and to get to see how strong their testimonies are despite their circumstances! They are strong on their own here! One girl said, all on her own, that one goal she wants to have this coming week is to be more dedicated in her Seminary studies because they do seminary on their own most mornings and she often times prioritizes other things over those studies! That warmed my heart! I may have had to get up early for seminary every morning but at least I had a teacher and classmates! These girls take on a whole new sense of responsibility of studying on their own and being their own teachers! That is amazing and inspiring to me!
I did get food poisoning this week, on Tuesday night and into Wednesday, so that was not very fun! haha, but it was so cool to see the extra strength and blessings I was given despite not feeling the greatest! We were able to still be very successful this week and found two new people to hopefully start teaching soon! I have a strong testimony that Heavenly Father really does shower you with little tender mercies and blessings as you continue to put your faith in Him and His timing despite your trials or current hard times!
Love you all and hope you are all doing well! You are in my prayers and in my heart! Take care this week!
