Its the Little Things
Hey there everyone 😊
Hope you are all doing well! This week was a lot calmer than my previous weeks.
I can't remember if I talked about it last week but there is this school that we go to each week here in Buc where we help remodel the school building into living quarters for Ukrainian Refugees. Before I got here they did a lot of ripping out old carpets but the last two times I have gone we have been setting up beds, shelves, and dressers from IKEA! It honestly has been so much fun!!! I feel like a kid with legos.
Sadly, I had an upset stomach most of the week, I think it's a mixture of a small bug, change, and stress. But on Friday, we went to lunch with our friends to a small Korean Cafe and it was soooo good! I was in heaven! And I found this yummy Korean grape juice drink that my dad has been telling me to try! I got a poke bowl, pot stickers, and sushi! I was so happy, cause it was delicious food (I really think poke bowls may be one of my all time favorite meals to buy!!! I was so happy!) And it also made me just feel closer to my Daddio! (For those that don't know he served his mission in Seoul, Korea). Also, at the end of my meal I ate the ginger that came with my sushi and it honestly helped my upset stomach a ton!
Our friend, Sara, who joined us for lunch, didn't have school so she wanted to just go about more of our day with us! We went to visit a member and then went to the church to do crafts with another member and then she almost joined us for our meetings too! Made me sad that there are not more youth here that she can connect with!! She is so sweet and precious and has such a good heart, I loved having her tag along with us!
Sunday night we had a group dinner for one of our Elders and invited some of our friends we are teaching to join! We made a big table with 4 folding tables and we all sat in a big circle around it. The food was delicious and we laughed and shared stories with each other for over an hour! It was so much fun and felt like home!
It was a great week! And then today for p-day we hiked Bușteni again! This was my 3rd time, once in spring, once in summer, and now once in fall! It was so beautiful! I also loved being in the mountains and fresh air! It was cold but when hiking and in the sun you still sweat, but the air is cold! Ahhhhh it was the best!
Love you all and hope you have a great week!
