Country-Wide Mission Conference

What a week!! Man, I wish I could just take the thoughts in my head and just plop them here, without having to type it all. . . haha but unfortunately, that is not how it works! So much has happened!

On Monday, like I said last week, we went hiking, and it was so much fun! So beautiful and refreshing, but I paid for it the next few days! We could all barely walk! haha! I was so sore, but at the same time, it was a good sore because it reminded me of what a fun time we had hiking up that mountain.

Wednesday, instead of doing zone conferences this week we did a conference with the whole country! It was so much fun to see everyone! Especially those friends that are in other zones and that I have not seen as often! Our conference was from 10am to 6pm and was packed full of so many great uplifting and enlightening things! I am really grateful for all the leaders in my mission and the time and effort they put into teaching and training us! I could definitely feel the spirit throughout the whole day!

Thursday, I got to have an exchange with Sora Randall and that was so much fun! We started the day with street contacting outside our church building with our branch president! It was so much fun! Our BP had the idea to street contact in front of the church building for a few weeks Tuesday-Friday from 10-12. Missionaries and members work together to hand out flyers, books of Mormon, and offer church tours. We met a lot of people through doing this and actually had someone come to church through this activity! It was a great language learning experience for me to be out there and see how other members contact others walking by! We also went with the Elders on Thursday to a friend's house to teach a first lesson! That was the first time I have ever gone to someone's house to teach a first lesson and it was such a neat experience! We just don't get that opportunity as often to go to someone's home to teach them like it used to be before COVID. We taught a mom and her 13 year old son. I automatically had such a love for both of them and the spirit really touched my heart as the 13 year old boy actively participated in the lesson and asked sincere questions about what we were talking about. I honestly had to hold back tears! I don't know what it is but it is just so special to me when children and youth show such an interest in the Gospel! I wish there was more I could do to help them, protect them, and teach them about how special they are and how much they are loved by their Father in Heaven!

The rest of my week was so much fun! I love being a missionary here in Romania and am so grateful for all the people I have been able to meet here and still get to meet!

I hope you all have a great week this week! Stay happy, laugh lots and don't forget about how loved you are!

Love

  1. I just wanted to say how much I enjoy reading your input about your mission and the many blessings that come into your life because of your service to the Savior. I’m grateful for your service and the fact that you are able to do so at this time in your life. My grandson, Henry Adam Claridge is serving a mission in Sierra Leone Freetown west Africa and has been out for six months. His older brother Trey returned from his mission in Ghana, Africa in February. I love seeing some of the wonderful youth serving in the mission field to share the gospel . My prayers love and thoughts are always on you, your sister in England and those who currently serve in the mission field. Keep up the good work, God is at the helm!

    1. Hi Raddad. Rachel is a close friend of ours. I just wanted to tell you that we are very good friends with the new Mission President for Sierra Leone. He and his wife, James and Christy Jarvis, are AWESOME! Your grandson is in good hands! :)
