Transfers Week
What a week!
To start the week of we took a trip to a forest on the outskirts of Cluj that is supposedly haunted. That morning a thick fog came through so all of the trees and bushes were frosted! It was so pretty, that is one of my favorite things, when fog freezes on trees! For about 2 hours we just walked around the forest and it was so much fun! I felt so much in my element as we walked and explored through the woods.
At the end of the day on Monday we got to go to the Cordons for dinner. The Cordons are an American family here in Romania for a little bit. They have 5 kids so I felt right at home with their family! The food they made us was super yummy and it was so much fun to all sit around a big dinner table and eat, laugh, and talk together! After dinner we joined their family home evening and that was super fun as well! I loved every minute of the time we had with their family!
The rest of the week was crazy busy! Wednesday and Thursday we had Zone Conference the first half of the day which was really cool. It was all on Zoom and we met with all of the missionaries in both Romania and Hungary. And then Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights we had English classes! In between all of this we also had a good amount of regular lessons and this week I contributed a lot to the lessons in Romanian. It was a little nerve racking but I did better than I thought, which made me happy!
This whole week I was a little more stressed than normal because I was anxious to know what transfers would look like! I knew for sure I would get a new companion but I didn't know who and I didn't know if I would be staying in Cluj or leaving, and I really did not want to leave. Saturday night, I got the transfer call and they let me know that I get to stay in Cluj and my new comp will be Sora Wenstrom. I have never really talked to her but everyone says she is amazing! I am excited!
Change has always been hard for me but it is getting less and less stressful as time goes on, which I am very grateful for! I also know that help from my Heavenly Father and Savior play a big role in me being able to handle change better!
All in all it was a great week! I learned a lot, had to overcome some hard times throughout the week but was also able to experience some really really happy times thanks to prayer . . .and faith that through prayer I could receive strength!
I hope you all are able to have a great week! Love you with all my heart!
